HISTORY of SYSTEM ELECTRIC

System Electric Co. was incorporated over forty years ago in 1961. In 1982, the Company became a Merit Shop Contractor.

In 1982, we began gathering together a team of experienced professionals who were technically qualified, highly motivated, and who held a common philosophy “to provide our Clients with the Best Electrical Job, on Time, and in Budget”.

System Electric Co. firmly believes in the “Team” Approach to Construction. We assemble our in-house Team of Project Engineers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Superintendents, etc., based on the specific requirements of each Project.

We then work diligently to ensure that our Team becomes an integral part of the Project Team, chosen by the Client. We are determined to always be a positive asset to any Construction Team that we are a part of. The Reputation we have built and are continuing to build in the Construction Industry is critically important to us. It is our Desire to be known as a “Can Do” Company that Solves and Prevents Problems, for the benefit of our Clients.

Our Company takes pride in providing a complete Electrical Construction Service. We offer our Clients our services in Conceptual Estimating, Electrical Design, CAD Electrical Design, Value Engineering, CPM Coordination, Cost Control and Electrical Construction.

System Electric Co. is a privately held, family run Corporation. Top-level Management is personally involved in every Project. We believe each Project is unique and requires individual in-depth planning and analysis.

We are committed to Disciplined Growth, based on Sound Financial Planning, and the abilities of our expanding staff of professionals.  It is our company philosophy to build our business volume through referral and repeat business. We therefore strive to insure the satisfaction of our Clients.

System Electric Co. is financially strong. Since 1947, our family has successfully owned and operated Electrical Contracting Firms Industrial Electric  (1947-1987), and System Electric Co.  from the time of incorporation ( in 1961), until present. The assets accumulated in over a half of a century of operation are available to fund the successful growth of System Electric Co. In 1985 we moved into our new 13,000 sq. ft. Palm Springs Facility, built to accommodate our continued growth. In 1993, we opened the Texas Office in Plano, Texas. In May of 2000, we moved  to a new 15,000 sq ft. facility in Plano, Texas. In 1997, we opened an office in Fort Worth, Texas and then another office in Dallas, Texas in 2006.

Our staff has in-depth experience in all phases of Commercial, Industrial and Institutional Electrical Construction. Our Personnel have successfully performed as dedicated professionals on numerous major Projects. The collective, technical experience of our staff is several hundred years.

We feel that we are equally adept at “Fast Track” Design Build/Design Assist or Traditional “Lump Sum” Bid jobs. However, we prefer Fast Track and Design Build/Design Assist work because we believe that this method of Construction fosters a Partnership attitude between the Client and his Design Build/Design Assist or Fast Track Team. In addition, it is our feeling that it constitutes a greater challenge to our abilities and offers us the opportunity to demonstrate more clearly these abilities.

We are proud of the systems we have developed over the last five decades. We feel that our Estimating System, Design Procedures and Cost Controls are comparable to those of the Best Electrical Contracting firms within the industry.

We have steadily increased our Field Forces and presently employ 400 to 500 Electricians. System Electric Co. believes that one of the keys to successful Project Installations, is the quality of our Field Force, especially our On-Site Superintendents and Foremen. We continually strive to improve the quality of our Field Personnel through in-house training, and professional recruiting and by instilling the Project “Team” spirit at all levels of our Field Forces.  Our full time in-house Safety and Quality Control staff assists our field forces in maintaining the highest project standards of safety and quality.
